Maryland Institute for Dialogue is a non-governmental organization which has come out of the Turkish-American community of Maryland to foster multicultural understanding, and as such reflects Maryland's Turkish-American community's enthusiasm to promote intercultural dialogue.

Dialogue with a Purpose

We, as Maryland Institute for Dialogue, truly believe in that democracy is the most suited form of administration for human being to enjoy his/her fundamental rights and freedoms. Therefore, the march of nations toward democracy should not, and indeed cannot, be reversed. Yet, it is crucial to realize that well-functioning democracies and justice could be attained, and maintained only by people who are respectful to one another’s rights, accept each other as they are, and live only to let live.

In Maryland Institute for Dialogue, we strive to create local and global consciousness for the necessity of intercultural dialogue among the world communities, which would gradually but consistently pave road to a tolerant world.

We sincerely believe that one day the entire world will be more peaceful and more tolerant place. In Maryland Institute for Dialogue, we are just working humbly and dedicatedly to bring that day closer.
