MID Dialogue Forum - MID Democracy & Dialogue Program and DACOR (Diplomatic and Consular Officers Retired) co-host Special Forum and Reception featuring Honorable Dr. Zeynel Abidin Erdem as keynote speaker. Prominent Turkish industrialist, Hon. Dr. Erdem is the Chairman of Erdem Holding, Honorary President of TABA AmCham Turkish-American Business Association, Honorary Consul of Spain, and a member of the Chamber of Commerce of USA (COCUSA) and of the European Council of American Chambers of Commerce (ECACC).

MID Dialogue Art - The project aims promoting intercultural dialogue and understanding through events featuring various types of art work. "Turkey: The Europe in the Middle East" titled photography exhibition is not a mere cultural promotion of Turkey but an effort to present the audience with a living example of where the Western and the Eastern cultures commingle and create a modern and democratic Muslim society.

MID DubaistanbuL Trip - The project aims to provide the trip participants with the contemporary knowledge of the Muslim societies through on-site visits and interactions. Increasing number of Muslims in the community and workplace make it imperative for the local and federal officials as well as for the employers to gain better under- standing of Muslim societies and their daily practices.

MID Orientation Dinner - Maryland Institute for Dialogue hosts an orientation dinner on December 4 th - Monday for the upcoming intercultural trip to Turkey. The dinner intends to bring together the previous and upcoming trip participants at a friendly dinner meeting.

Ramadan Iftar - Ramadan is the holy month of fasting for the Muslims. Iftar is the act of breaking the fast by the sunset. Fasting is yet another common denominator of the Judaic, Christian, Islamic, Hindu and other religious traditions. As such, this event seeks to bring the members of different cultures together to cherish diversity and to support dialogue.

MID Dialogue Awards - Dedicated to promoting intercultural dialogue, Maryland Institute for Dialogue is proud to honor the accomplished individuals for their ceaseless efforts to increase public awareness for intercultural dialogue and tolerance. Among the recipients of the MID Dialogue Awards are academics, civil servants, community leaders, diplomats and CEOs.
