Maryland Institute for Dialogue prioritizes maintaining friendly relationship with other governmental and non-governmental organizations, and seeks to collaborate with them on productive projects to promote intercultural dialogue. Moreover, the MID believes in the importance of intellectual exchange with policy makers and government officials in order to emphasize the constructive role of dialogue in countering all sorts of extremism and violence.
